We Find Refuge in Utah

We attended Sacrament meeting at Martin's Cove.  The room was crowded full of youth who had just finished a several-day-long pioneer trek.  They hadn't showered yet.  There wasn't room for all six of us to sit next to each other, so we had to split up and sit among the youth.  It was interesting!
When we are on vacation, we do not like to drive on the sabbath.  We avoid it, and try to spend the day in a more worshipful activity.  This day, however, I was sore from sleeping in the tent.  Wes' neck was paining him.  We longed for showers, beds, and a place to rest with family.   So we drove to Springville, Utah.
Along the way we read scriptures, sang hymns, and finished our book on tape: "Fire of the Covenant."
We were so happy to reach William and Angel's house where we stayed--they were gone on a trip to California and let us use their place.

Of course, one of the first things we did was visit our new nephew/cousin Landon.  He was just born about two weeks before we arrived!

Proud Brice and Morgan.

Everyone loved him.
Well, almost.
I don't know if Elias cared two bits about him.
And Ryanne absolutely refused to hold him.
Leah, on the other hand, couldn't leave him alone.

And Mckay couldn't take his eyes off of him.
He snuggled Landon a lot.

But Mommy loved him best!

The next evening we went with Brice's family to his in-law's house in Highland for dinner.  The kids were so happy to see their cousins.  Our three younger ones really enjoy Raelin, Ryker and Alaina.  Ryanne enjoys Liam most, and missed him.  However, even she joined in the fun.  While we were there, we got to see Morgan's sister and her husband:

Gina and Toby

Elias and Leah are Snackin' with Raelin

Nothing like chatting while chowing on
Red Vines and Teddy Grahms.

Oh! Sweet, cute, lovable Alaina! Will you be mine?!

The girls wandered over to the pasture to see the horse.
Alaina wanted to go into the pasture to visit the horse.

" I can get my head in, but how does the rest of me go?"

"I'm having a problem with my legs.
They won't cooperate."

Two cute cousins perched on the fence.

Success! He came over! Let's feed him our carrots.
Yes, we don't want to eat them anyway and he does.

My what tasty fingers you have Leah!

I think I can fit your hand in my mouth;
here, let me open a little wider.

She looks like a real pony-girl.
What a soft, velvety nose.

Favorite cousins in our favorite place--
Together!

Trampoline fun--Ryanne included.

How long can Ryanne keep Mckay from bouncing?
She's Rabbit and he's Tigger.

Fly Ryker, Fly!

Hey, who do you think you're looking at?!

Check out that hair-do!

Loving each other--Ryker and Raelin.

Alaina gets a ride.

Ryker just had a birthday.
For his present from Morgan and Brice,
He got a cool bedroom make-over.
There were climbing monkey bars
on the ceiling,

A knotted rope to climb up, a rope ladder too.
They all spent some time in there playing.

And swinging and climbing and wrestling and marauding!
