I try to save things.
Like baby rabbits that our cat catches and drags into the yard (still alive). Like baby birds that have fallen from their nests and the kids bring home; orphaned cats that have been chewed on by dogs, lizards with broken tails, injured hummingbirds, abandoned, starving bearded dragons, an occasional stray dog (those go straight to the pound, Wes won't let me keep them here), and the snake Elias found that had been hit by a car (still alive).
Yes, Mom will save it.
The success rate is about one in a hundred.
So, really, animals, can you save my kids the heartache and me the hassle and get lost somewhere else?

You are one great mom to save the animals. I don't think (pretty sure) that I would be so compassionate. Sorry it breaks your heart. That is awful
