It is so green here! Trees canopy the ground everywhere. I love it.
I saw a fox running along the side of the road.

We saw several deer. Ryanne saw turtles in the Mississippi River. Wildlife is abundant here.
Also, we can now update our road-kill toll: we are adding 12 raccoons to the list, including a mother and two babies. These we saw in a five mile stretch of road right outside Nauvoo. They must come down from the hills and try to cross the road to get to the river. Poor things.
We arrived at our hotel about 8:30pm, glad to be out of the car for the evening.
Our room has four bunkbeds (one with a full size mattress). There is a little fridge, a microwave, and a TV about the size of a dime. It's slightly cramped--we are going to be cozy! The kids fought over who gets the top bunks. We will have to rotate!

Yay! We're here!
What's A-foot?
Some body's foot got tattooed while they were sleeping!
Who's foot is this? And who would dare write on it?
Aren't those little toes cute?!
p.s. Mom loves you, little foot.
