Aquarium of the Pacific

Leah's kindergarten class took a field trip and Wes, Elias and I tagged along.

Here we are petting the rays: sting rays (minus stingers of course) and bat rays. Notice Elias' hands. (Wes is taking the picture . . . his hands did not get wet either)!

Sometimes no amount of persuasion, force, or bribery can convince someone to stick their hand in a tank full of sharks . . . even if the sharks are only three feet long!

Nevertheless, the expressions of awe made up for the fact that there was no way on Earth he was going to touch something that had sharp teeth and is known for vicious attacks on small children and red-haired mermaids.
